Desprez is a composer who offers his work on this website and on the regular online music platforms. Who he is, is not important. Neither is the music. However, it is the only thing he considers himself any good at, so he publishes.

Aside from original work, Desprez finds his inspiration among the masters of older music, his transformations being both a tribute to and a comment on their work. His work is never meant to “modernize” the originals, it does not even pretend to reach their level of beauty and mastery. It simply is what it is in its own right.
Besides, the masters of olden days themselves were never averse to a bit of poaching.
